Technical:  Each kaleidoscope is uniquely hand-crafted. The process begins with cutting the glass for the ‘scope body, then joining the pieces together with unleaded solder. I then apply decorative soldering and attach tinned brass stampings. Next I give the ‘scope a patina finish, wax and buff it, then apply a coat of shellac for protection.

I have collected rare and beautiful items from all over the world to fill the object wheels of every kaleidoscope. Sometimes I make torched-glass squiggles, sometimes I use sterling silver charms, and have even used a rattlesnake backbone at times…all depending on the theme of the particular ‘scope.

Thanks for stopping by my site!

I hope you’ll enjoy viewing my work, hearing my story, and getting excited about the wonderful world of kaleidoscopes.

There are several galleries to view, each containing photos of different types of kaleidoscopes I’ve made. I custom-craft kaleidoscopes in many differing themes. If you’re interested in a kaleidoscope along these lines, or would like something other than what you see, please email me!

Kaleidoscopes are a wonderful invention.  Every viewing can be a joyful, fun experience, bringing peace and relaxation.
